FAQ
1) How do I obtain HBOT Category A Credits? I cannot find it under “CME/CE”
HBOT Category A credits are earned in a different manner than CME/CE credits. See section above how to claim your HBOT Category A credit.
2) I cannot access the quiz so that I can earn my HBOT Category A Credit
- If you cannot access the quiz after clicking on the links to Google Form or SurveyMonkey, your institution might have a firewall that is blocking Google Form or SurveyMonkey.
- There are 2 options that will allow you to take the quiz:
- 1. Please contact your IT department and ask them to allow you to access Google Forms or SurveyMonkey from your work computer.
- 2. Take the quiz from your personal mobile device or home computer. Make sure your device is connected to the cellular network, and not to the hospital network/WiFi.
3) Can I retake a Quiz if I don't pass? If so, how?
Yes, you can take the quiz as many times as needed. Only the last quiz' score will be taken into account.
To retake the quiz, simply refresh your browser:
- Take the quiz. If you wish to retake it, click on the refresh button of your browser. A new clean quiz should appear.
Why does the CME/CE dashboard show that I earned only 0.5 credits for the topic that I read?
Each topic that is eligible for HBOT Category A can be worth 1 Category A credit OR 0.5 CE credit. One cannot claim both types of credit for the same topic. If you are claiming Category A credit for the topics below, you will have 12 Category A credits in total, but will not be able to use these topics to claim CE credits (which you'd use for your Category B credits). If you were NOT claiming Category A for these topics below, you'd be able to use them to claim CE or Category B credits.
Can I also claim HBOT Category B credits?
To claim HBOT Category A in addition to CEs for Category B credits, you can read 24 topics that are eligible for CEs only (yellow bubble only, not blue bubble), and generate a certificate for those, as described in the steps below:
- Go to https://woundreference.com/
app/hbo - Click on the topics that have a yellow bubble (CME/CE) but not a blue buble (Cat A) - See screenshot below
- Tab through 'Indications', 'Operations', 'Safety', 'Reimbursement' to see all topics.
- For topics that have a + sign (e.g. 'Patient Care'), click to see more topics
- After you read the CE topics, you can generate a certificate. See how to generate a certificate on this tutorial
